Puerto Rican Student Scholarship

Funded by the generosity of The Knight Foundation, The Carnegie Corporation and the Health Foundation of South Florida, this scholarship fund aims to assist students displaced from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

To be eligible students must be:
Admitted to FIU as a degree seeking student after Hurricane Maria- admit term Spring 2018, Summer 2018 or Fall 2019.
Permanent Address on student record must be on the island, or last attended school must be on the island.
Awards will be for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 terms.

Awards will vary based on individual needs. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Please be as clear as possible regarding your needs, whether it be food, housing or tuition assistance.
