The Rakesh, Mei & Teddy Sarna Model UN Scholarship

Scholarships for students in the FIU Model United Nations Program enrolled in the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs at FIU. For each awardee, the scholarship will be distributed in the amount of $1,000 per semester (Fall and Spring) for a total of $2,000 for the academic year.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
i. The scholarship will be awarded to Green School students who have been in the FIU Model UN Program for a minimum of one year. Preference will be given to students majoring in the Green School, however, students pursuing a minor or certificate in the Green School will also be given consideration.
ii. Recipients must demonstrate financial need.
iii. Students must write a 500-word essay on how the Model UN program contributes to their professional development, and how they would benefit if chosen to receive this scholarship.

Student must be US citizens, Permanent residents or International students on an F1 visa to be aid eligible for awarding.
