Last Mile Hospitality Scholarship

Rakesh and Mei Sarna Scholarship Endowment, “Last mile” scholarship for Seniors in the Chaplin School of Hospitality Management.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
i. The scholarships will be awarded to students in the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management who are in, or are entering their senior year.
ii. Recipients must be an undergraduate student enrolled for a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester.
iii. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and/or must be recommended by senior leadership in the school’s Office of Student Affairs at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.
iv. Recipients will demonstrate financial need based on federal financial aid standards, as determined by the University’s financial aid office. Priority to students that submitted a FAFSA.
v. Recipients may be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or international students on an aid eligible visa

In addition, awardees will be called on to attend scholarship recognition/events and/or individual meeting with donor. Prior to disbursing your award, it is imperative that a “thank you” letter, a brief biography and an appropriate head shot be submitted via AcademicWorks.*
