Siggi B. Wilzig Scholarship
The Siggi B. Wilzig Scholarship was established by donor Ivan Wilzig to support students within the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA).
Eligibility Requirements
- To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be enrolled in or accepted for admission to the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA).
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or an international student holding an F-1 visa.
Essay Requirement (Preferred)
Preference will be given to applicants who submit an essay reflecting on Unstoppable, the biography of Siggi B. Wilzig, a Holocaust survivor whose life story highlights resilience, adversity, and ultimate success.
Applicants must submit a two-page, double-spaced, typed essay addressing:
- How the book _Unstoppable _influenced their understanding of antisemitism.
- How the story shaped their perspective on overcoming adversity and discrimination and antisemitism.

Award Details
The total scholarship award is* $2,400*, distributed in two equal installments:
$1,200 awarded in the Fall semester
$1,200 awarded in the Spring semester
Recipients must be actively enrolled in both Fall and Spring semesters to receive the full award.
Two recipients are selected each academic year.
