Fred Hoover Physics Scholarship

Awarded for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027

The Fred Hoover Memorial Scholarship Endowment was created to honor Mr. Hoover’s memory by providing financial support to undergraduate students majoring in Physic at Florida International University.

Criteria:

• Undergraduate Physics Major
• Must have a minimum of 12 credit hours in physics and/or math
• GPA 2.5 or higher

Supplemental Questions:

• Request a letter of recommendation from an FIU faculty or staff member.
• Upload a typed, one-page essay addressing why and how you intend to pursue a career in Physics as well as how financial assistance will help achieve these goals.
