John Branstetter Scholarship

The John Branstetter Scholarship supports South Miami Senior High School (SMSH) students pursuing their educational and career goals at Florida International University (FIU). This scholarship recognizes leadership, academic effort, and school spirit while giving priority to students from underrepresented backgrounds or pursuing high-need careers.

Eligibility

• Be a current senior at South Miami Senior High School
• Be accepted to Florida International University (FIU) as a full-time student immediately after graduation (starting at FIU Early Fall/Fall 2026)
• Submit a complete application by the deadline
• Application must include: Personal Statement, Resume, and 2 Letters of Recommendation
