Lafayette Fellowship

The Lafayette Fellowship will allow American students to complete Master’s degree-level coursework at renowned French academic institutions, while also taking part in a unique leadership program. 

The program is open to students interested in pursuing graduate degrees in STEM, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Arts.

Alongside their coursework, Lafayette Fellows will take part in an outstanding immersion experience, the French American Leadership Program, through meetings, visits, lectures, and a mentorship program throughout their year in France.   

Applicants must submit their applications by November 30, 2025 at 11:59PM (Eastern US time).

The application has four sections:

  3. Academic Plan 
  4. Required Documents and References 

You can work on the application over the course of multiple sessions and can modify it prior to the application’s closing date. Once your application has been submitted, you cannot modify it.

As applications are examined by English-speaking experts, applicants are required to answer the questions that are in essay format in English. The maximum number of characters indicated in the respective fields includes spaces. Questions that require an answer are indicated with a star (*).
