Dr Kerry Evans Award for Nursing Students

The Dr. Kerry Evans Award for Nursing Students is a $1,000 award presented annually to an undergraduate nursing student who demonstrates a passion for nursing and a commitment to compassionate care. This Award supports students who share Dr. Evans’ dedication to high-quality patient care, resilience, and the ability to thrive in challenging healthcare environments. Awarded through an essay contest, the Award allows students to reflect on their motivations, career aspirations, and their unique perspectives on the impact they aim to make in nursing.

To be eligible for the Dr. Kerry Evans Award for Nursing Students, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program and on the path to a career in nursing
  • Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and resilience in the face of challenges
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • This Award is open to all eligible undergraduate students who meet the above criteria, and there are no restrictions on location, school, or specific nursing focus areas.
