Health and Support Services Pride Scholarship Application

Latinos Salud’s Health and Support Services Pride Scholarships are developing the next generation of culturally-attuned scholars in professions that will serve South Florida’s LGBTQ/A+ community.
Each of our scholars is a member of the LGBTQ/A+ community who is pursuing higher education in careers such as nursing, psychology, social work, public health, or other helping professions, and each intends to work in South Florida upon graduation.

Application Requirements and Criteria:

• Applications are due May 9th, 2025. Must be accepted to enroll in or continue their academic career at an accredited college or university in South Florida’s Miami-Dade or Broward counties. (Attach your Letter of Acceptance from the college / university in your package).

• Must demonstrate an intention to pursue a career in a helping profession such as nursing, social work, psychology or public health. (After the freshman year, this intention must be reflected in the chosen major and courses taken.)

• Submit responses to the application questions, and other documents required.

• Strong preference for applicants who include a copy of their Federal Student Aid report, known as FAFSA. (Application available at
• https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa)

• Letter of recommendation encouraged. (See guidelines).

Our Pride Scholarship will now award $3,000 – $5,000 to college undergraduate recipients, and up to $6,000 for graduate school recipients.
