Helios Education Foundation 20th Anniversary Transfer Pathway Scholarship

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Helios Education Foundation, the Helios board created the Helios Education Foundation 20th Anniversary Pathway Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Transfer student entering FIU in Spring 2025 with an AA/AS
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Accepted and enrolled at FIU
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must enroll full-time as represented by 30 credit hours completed in 3 consecutive semesters or each school year
  • Preference given to underserved and/or low-income students
  • Must be a Florida resident

Award Amount:

  • Up to $10,000 per year for up to two years, for a maximum award of $20,000 per student, based on Florida’s in-state tuition rate, or remaining cost of attendance (the lesser of the two)
  • Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses

Award Renewal:
This award is renewable for up to one additional year if students are in good standing and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Award Ceremony:
As part of Helios’ 20th Anniversary year, and to honor and celebrate these FL-based students’ success and receipt of these scholarships, an event is scheduled for April 8, 2025, in Tampa. Scholarship recipients and two guests, will be invited. For recipients who reside outside of the Tampa Bay area, Helios will provide one hotel room for the evening of the event and will pay reasonable transportation costs give recipients to the opportunity to attend the event.
