Master of International Business High Potential Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship, Individuals must have been recently admitted into the Master of International Business program to start Spring 2025 (January) – and not enrolled in classes. *Neither applicants nor current, enrolled, students are eligible for this scholarship. *

  • Must be newly admitted as a degree-seeking graduate student in the Master of International Business program.
  • Demonstrate a minimum upper-division GPA of 3.40 in their undergraduate degree.
  • At least 2 years of work experience, demonstrated leadership experience, and prior attainment of other graduate degree are desired but necessary.
  • A one page statement detailing all relevant accomplishments as to why you merit this scholarship
  • Scholarship funds will be distributed in the Spring, Summer and Fall Terms
  • Ability to secure the scholarship depends on space availability and funding.
  • Dual degree students, students admitted via international agreements, and students transferring credits are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students can only qualify for one program scholarship while completing the program. Per FIU guidelines, a student receiving the High Potential Scholarship cannot go on to then receive the High Performance Scholarship later in the program.
  • Must maintain a good academic standing per FIU academic policy
  • Federal student aid may be adjusted due to the posting of this scholarship. the Financial Aid Office will send you a revised award letter should an adjustment take place
  • In compliance with applicable laws regarding eligibility, you must have an aid-eligible immigration/residency status, i.e. U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Resident, or other eligible visa status to receive the scholarship disbursement

I agree to release any information concerning my records at Florida International University to any federal, state or private agency necessary for the administration of the scholarship program, including grades and GPA. I understand that if I am awarded a scholarship or waiver, it can be revoked if I fail to maintain academic standards, fail to enroll in the required number of credit hours in the degree program indicated, transfer out of the College of Business, withdraw from FIU, or for other just cause as determined by the Dean of the College of Business, including but not limited to the misrepresentation of information on this application.
