Generations Ahead Scholarship Dependents
The Division of Human Resources is pleased to inform you of enhancements to our “Generations Ahead” Scholarship Program – generously sponsored by Gabor Financial Solutions. This scholarship is designed for dependents of FIU’s benefits-eligible faculty and staff.
This opportunity is another way to demonstrate appreciation for our valued faculty and staff who support and serve our 58,000 students. As a result of your continued commitment to create positive experiences for our students, the Division of Human Resources is dedicated to creating positive experiences and opportunities for you.
Eligible scholarship recipients must:
1. Be a dependent child of an FIU, full-time, benefits-eligible faculty or staff member employed for a minimum of one year.
2. Be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking, full-time student at FIU, taking a minimum of 12 credits as an undergraduate or 9 credits as a graduate student.
3. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better as an undergraduate or 3.0 as a graduate.
Special Note: The Generations Ahead Scholarship is limited to one award per family, even if both parents are employed at FIU.
Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. Recipients who have completed a FAFSA, may not exceed Cost of Attendance with Federal aid and scholarships.
