Anthony R. Abraham was a Lebanese – American businessman born on February 25, 1911, in Ohio, USA. He grew up with less than modest means, was a tireless worker all his life, and was able to achieve great success. He also devoted his life to helping others. He was an honored leader in children’s philanthropy, and a benefactor of numerous orphanages and children’s medical facilities throughout the world including ones in Lebanon and Haiti. He was the last living founding member of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Abraham was widely known as the Chevrolet tycoon. He was the honorary consul of Lebanon in Miami for over three decades. Abraham and his late wife Genevieve devoted their lives to helping others through the Anthony R. Abraham Foundation that he founded in 1976. Even though Anthony R. Abraham passed away in 2011, the foundation continues to help ease poverty, build hospitals, orphanages, and medical research facilities, through donations to various non-profit charities across the globe.
