Rajendra Mittal International Excellence Award

Established by Rahul Mittal ’21, the Rajendra Mittal International Excellence Award provides laptop stipends for first time in college undergraduate international students who are STEM majors. Preference will be given to students in the College of Engineering and Computing, FIU Honors College, and students involved in student organizations and extracurricular activities.

About Rajendra Mittal:
Rajendra Mittal, the cherished grandfather of Rahul Mittal ‘21, was an Indian entrepreneur born on November 14th, 1947 in Indore, India. Mittal’s influence transcended the academic realm, fueled by his passion for science and food technology. Through his pioneering recipes for condiments and ketchups, he revolutionized the traditional Indian pickle industry, leaving an indelible mark on the culinary world. Despite not completing his college education, Rajendra recognized the transformative power of learning and ensured that his children and grandchildren received the highest quality education possible. Even after his passing in 2021 due to COVID-19, Mittal’s legacy continues to inspire and shape the lives of his loved ones.
