GRADUATE NURSING (MSN/DNP) SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships will be available to students who are fully admitted to graduate Nursing students enrolled in the DNP program in the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences. The recipient must be enrolled full-time (or credits based on the plan of study) in nursing courses for Summer 2024. Students must complete the online application in Academic Works, which includes writing an essay explaining educational and professional goals and how achieving a scholarship will benefit them, be in excellent academic standing and demonstrate significant financial need as it relates to the Financial Aid system (must file FASFA). Meeting any or all of the above does not guarantee receipt of this scholarship. Please make sure your application is “SUBMITTED” and your essay is readable and in WORD format. If awarded a scholarship, you will be expected to write a Thank You card for the organization or individual who funded said award prior to being posted to your account.

  1. In your one or two page essay, describe your personal aspirations and career goals, and address the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting these goals. Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of your interest and/or commitment to work on and support university and community basic life support initiatives and training.
  2. Would you be willing to work as a nurse for three years in the South Florida area after graduation? A written agreement will need to be signed if scholarship is awarded.
  3. Are you admitted to the MSN or DNP Adult-Gerontology OR Psychiatric Mental Heatlh program?
  4. If you are interested in the advancement of cardiovascular care, please share your interest in your personal essay.
