Dr. Dhaval Shah Scholarship for Future Doctors

The Dr. DHAVAL SHAH Scholarship provides one $1,000 award each year to a deserving pre-med or medical student pursuing a degree in medicine. The scholarship was established to honor Dr. SHAH’s distinguished career as a physician, researcher, and mentor. To apply, students must submit an essay between 500-1000 words on their goals in medicine and how they reflect the values of compassion, dedication, and innovation that defined Dr. SHAH’s work. Relevant extracurricular activities, research experience, and academic achievements should also be highlighted. The scholarship is open to all students demonstrating a strong interest in healthcare and medicine, regardless of specialty or subfield. Applications will be evaluated based on the merit of the essay, achievements, and the applicant’s embodiment of Dr. SHAH’s spirit. One student will be selected each year to receive the $1,000 award. The recipient can use the scholarship to cover education costs including tuition, books, lab fees, and more.
