Hospitality Study Abroad Scholarship

THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS ONLY FOR HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT STUDENTS ACCEPTED TO AN APPROVED CHAPLIN SCHOOL FACULTY-LED STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM FOR SUMMER 2024 INCLUDING: HOSPITALITY AT SEA, HOSPITALITY IN JAPAN, & HOSPITALITY IN GREECE. FOR DETAILS ON THE STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, VISIT http://hospitality.fiu.edu/study-abroad/. Students participating in any other study abroad program are NOT eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Deadline: March 1, 2024

Applicants for this scholarship must meet the eligibility criteria, as follows:
-Current FIU Student enrolled as a degree-seeking student in FIU’s Chaplin School for a hospitality management degree (graduate or undergraduate)
-Accepted to Hospitality at Sea, Hospitality in Japan, or Hospitality in Greece; You must complete the study abroad program in its entirety
-Must be in “good academic standing” at FIU, including current term grades/GPA (i.e. not on academic probation or warning; at least 2.0 GPA for undergraduate students; at least 3.0 GPA for graduate students)
-Submission of a short statement (1 page) about how you expect participation in the study abroad program will benefit your hospitality & tourism management education and future career in the hospitality industry
-In compliance with applicable laws regarding financial aid eligibility, those receiving the award must have an aid-eligible immigration/residency status. International students are eligible to apply.

These scholarships are limited and availability ends when available funds have been allocated.
Study Abroad Scholarships are limited to one per student in any term.
