Sheldon M Lurie Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship in Visual Arts to memorialize and honor Sheldon M. Lurie, an accomplished artist. Eligible student are Visual Arts students pursuing a BFA degree or a MFA program. Recipients must be currently enrolled or fully admitted full-time students who exhibit a high degree of talent in any of the visual arts, a facility for drawing, and high academic standards. In addition, recipients should also be in need of financial assistance. Students must be a U.S. citizens, permanent resident or international student on an aid eligible visa to apply.

Scholarship Requirements:*

  • BFA in Art, BFA in Digital Arts, or MFA in Art students only
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 5 images of recent artwork– 300 dpi. AND/OR Videos 20-sec. maximum duration.
  • 500-word Bio statement, outlining accomplishments during time in program.

Recipients who have completed a FAFSA, may not exceed Cost of Attendance with Federal aid and scholarships. For more information, contact scholarships@fiu.edu.
