FIU Arts Council Theatre Scholarship

Award for Fall 2023

Scholarship Criteria:

Students must display excellence in academics and must be a declared Theatre major.
B or higher in courses.
3.0 GPA minimum.
Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits hours (full-time). Scholarship recipients must take at least two theater courses per semester, 6 credits (except for freshman).
Be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. lawful permanent resident or an international student on an aid eligible visa.

Applicants must submit the following:
An essay/personal statement in which you describe your aspirations and career goals. Include a discussion of how scholarship assistance will help you meet your goals. Limit 1,000.00 words.
A current resume that includes your extracurricular activities, professional activities or employment experience, and community service.

All performance scholarship recipients must audition for the faculty-directed productions given in the term in which they receive an award and must accept a role of offered. Those recipients filling a major production assignment are exempt from this requirement.
Awards are per semester and you will need to apply each semester.
