MARC U*STAR Fellowship Program

MARC U-STAR is a research training program for junior level undergraduate students majoring in biomedical and behavioral sciences. The program is designed to increase the number of individuals from groups that are underrepresented in biomedical sciences by preparing students for high-caliber graduate training at the Ph.D. level. Students spend their junior and senior years in the program conducting research at FIU.

Qualifications:
• Rising juniors (current sophomores)
GPA 3.3 or above
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Enrolled full time (12 credits minimum each semester excluding summer)
• Majoring in STEM
• Interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in the biomedical or behavioral sciences

Award
Monthly stipend of $1,195, 60% in-state tuition and fees
