Emergency Student Fund for U.S.-Based Students from Venezuela

IIE’s Emergency Student Fund (ESF) is issuing a call for U.S. colleges and universities that currently have students from Venezuela enrolled on their campuses to nominate those students who have emergency needs for funds to continue their studies so that their academic careers are not interrupted as a result of the crises in their home countries.

The Venezuela-ESF will provide grants of $3,000 – $5,000 each to selected students nominated by their U.S. host colleges and universities who are unable to continue or complete their degree program in the United States due to serious financial difficulties precipitated by the situation in the region.

Accredited U. S. campuses are invited to nominate up to five students in total for whom help is needed to complete the spring 2019 semester.

To be considered for nomination, please submit a paragraph explaining your need and how the situation in Venezuela has impacted you.

Award decisions will be announced in Spring 2019.

Submission of an application does not guarantee a nomination or award.
