HWCOM White Coat Scholarship

The Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) Scholarship Program is pleased to offer the White Coat Scholarship Award. This scholarship is supported by faculty, staff, family, and friends of HWCOM that have generously donated to sponsor a first year medical student’s white coat. The White Coat Ceremony signifies the start of a medical student’s journey to become a physician. This award is given in celebration of this momentous milestone. This new initiative aims to support medical students by providing both personalized messages of encouragement on the day of their White Coat Ceremony as well as financial support made possible by the generous contributions of donors. The purpose of this scholarship award is to support a current M1 student with their cost of attendance.

• Applicants must be a currently enrolled M1 medical student.
• Applicants must be in good academic and professional standing.
• Applicants cannot be a current recipient of a full tuition scholarship.
