Association of Haitian Physicians Scholarship
The Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) Scholarship Program is pleased to offer the Association of Haitian Physicians Scholarship Award. The Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad was founded by a group of Haitian physicians determined to mark their presence as a growing ethnic entity in America. With a mission to foster professional alliances and to promote the health and interest of the Haitian immigrant community at large, the Florida Chapter of the AMHE established the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad Scholarship Endowment. The purpose of this scholarship is to help support historically underrepresented students in medicine that are currently enrolled in their second, third, or fourth year of medical school at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
•Applicants must be currently enrolled second, third, or fourth year historically underrepresented in medicine medical students.
•Applicants must be in good academic and professional standing.
•Applicants cannot be a current recipient of a full tuition scholarship.
•Demonstrated financial need is a required component to be a recipient of this award. Current FAFSA must be on file.
