Jorge and Darlene Perez Scholars Scholarship

The Jorge and Darlene Perez scholarship has been established to award and Honors College student for their outstanding leadership experience within the South Florida community. The scholarship will be given to students demonstrating outstanding scholastic aptitude and accomplishments and, secondarily, financial need. Recipients must be active Honors College students who are enrolled in a degree granting program in full-time status. Students must be a citizen of the United States, a U.S. lawful permanent resident or an international student on an aid eligible visa.

  2. The purpose of the FIU Honors College is to educate, prepare and motivate tomorrow’s leaders who generate value. Tell us about a time you have exhibited leadership and produced lasting value. What trials did you encounter and what knowledge did you acquire to generate value? How do you plan to use this talent or value to change South Florida? How do you envision creating a better city and state? How will your FIU education and this scholarship allow you to accomplish your goals and make a difference? How will you give back?
