Dr. Ana Maria Rodriguez de Gutierrez Scholarship
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better; Demonstrated financial need based on federal financial aid standards as determined by the University’s Financial Aid Office; Enrolled or accepted for admission in a degree earning program of the College of Education; Undergraduate Junior or Senior status only; U.S. citizen or permanent resident; Commitment to pursuing a career as a teacher at the K-12 level; Preference given to applicants who are descendants or relatives of individuals who attended the Instituto Edison in Havana, Cuba during Dra. Ana Maria Rodriguez de Gutierrez’s tenure at Instituto Edison (1931-1960); Current recipients may be renewed for one additional year, provided that the recipients continue to meet the eligibility criteria and are making satisfactory progress toward a degree.
